a little bit

The days are starting to get shorter again. It's always bitter-sweet because i adore fall, but i also love the long lazy days of summer. I am, however, super excited for cooler weather! Hopefully there will be no more 100+ degree days and that it will be safe to step outside for longer than 20 minutes again. So this morning i was enjoying the breeze and took Ruca for a walk and took some pictures of the pretty morning light.

Well i promised i would post pictures of the progress on my crocheting and i am keeping that promise. mind you, i taught myself how to crochet through a series of "how to" youtube videos and its not perfect or amazing, in fact its slightly lopsided and has holes in which some are bigger than the rest. but at least its progress and great practice!

the beginning of a baby blanket

crocheting this bad boy has been quite the experience already. i liked the yarn because its SUPER soft, however i did not realize that i would have zero visibility on what i was doing. if my crochet hook slipped out of the loop, i was lost and completely unable to find it again. one good thing about it though is that it hides a lot of my mistakes. and the more i work with it, the easier it gets. wish me luck! ill post another update soon!
