slacker.

I was informed by my friend the other day that I have been slacking on my blog and needed to update it in a major way.
She was right.
I cant believe how fast time goes by!
I have had a great week so far. Bandy had Monday and Tuesday off, so we did some cleaning, changed out a few more light switches (only 6 more to go in the entire house!) and we had some friends over for dinner that night. After dinner we proceeded to play a game of phase 10 which lasted 3 hours. (I think it might have been the longest game ever recorded but I could be wrong.) Tuesday we went to a car dealership to find out what other options we have for the truck. selling/trading in/driving into a river... but really. The car salesman told us a story of a guy who came in to trade in his 2010 Cadillac Escalade fully loaded and decked out. He was upside down 23,000 dollars. So what did he decided to do?
Drive it into the river and collect the auto insurance.
He bought a brand new Toyota Avalon. (This story may or may not have tempted me to find his name/license plate number and turn him in for insurance fraud.)
We dont think that would be the best option for us so were gonna stick with legally selling or trading in the truck. But with gas prices going down were hoping we can sell it.

Tuesday night (aka last night) we met up with our bishop for a little chat and found out we can be sealed together for time and all eternity at the end of this year, sometime in December. I cannot express how excited I am and how good it feels knowing we are working towards this goal. If anyone has questions on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or know more about being sealed in the Temple, click on the link below www.lds.org
We havent decided where or which temple yet. It will depend on family and everyones situation but I would love to do it either in Florida, Utah or Hawaii. (this last one is a pretty big stretch but hey, a girl can dream, right?) suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

Here are some of my favorites.

It is mine and Jeremy's goal to visit as many temples as we possibly can. I hope to visit them all one day.

  1. i LOVE the manti temple, it's so so pretty. i think you know this, but j and i were originally scheduled to get married in san diego. we had a lot of family upset because they couldn't afford to make it to california. when it came down to it, we realized that it didn't matter what temple we got married in; a temple is a temple. but what did matter was that all of our family could be there. when we were sealed, we had more family in the room than there was room for, and that was so much more worth it to us. just something to keep in mind when you're deciding which temple =)

  2. i totally agree! it will just depend on jeremys work, how many days he can get approved to leave and if we can be out in Utah for the sealing and Christmas. We might have to do it in Houston since its just a 4 hour drive and have as many friends and family members come out as we possibly can!
